Flight Operations - Crew Planning and Control
JOB SCOPE
- Analyzes data and takes decisions regarding roster patterns to prevent any flight time limitation breaches to local and international regulations, thus preventing business fines and reduced network access
- Manages proactive crew rosters reviews to ensure the optimal level of productivity and Identifies opportunities to reduce costs by realigning crew, based on fleet changes etc. to maximize cost efficiency
- Drives rules and parameters in conjunction with Flight Operations Director which have an impact on roster solutions to ensure that the optimum balance of cost, productivity and quality is achieved
- Maintains core operating manuals (Standards Operating Procedures [SOPs] and Fatigue Risk Management Systems [FRMS]) to ensure all crew are aligned with operating procedures and to prevent external audit findings to maintain the Company’s reputation and relationship with the aviation authorities
- Actively assists in publishing new procedures, and acts timely in order to keep all internal findings monitored and closed
- Investigates flight deck and cabin crew rosters when non-compliance breaches have occurred to identify root cause and implement prevention strategies
- Leads best practice workshops with stakeholders to define best possible crew optimization processes
- Focuses on maximum operational productivity, safety & regulatory compliance, crew lifestyle benefits & crew bidding methodology
- Leverages specialized knowledge for the development and translation of business rules and regulatory requirements as part of system requirements and process workflows
- Maximizes business performance through data analysis and implementing change
- Takes active part in communication and roster team meetings with Union representatives about roster related questions
MINIMUM CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma (IV)
- At least 3 years' of work experience in resource planning, preferably in the field of crew planning
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet)
- Crew scheduling systems
- English - excellent, active
